A bit about James sound:

From fist pumping, stomp your feet workingman anthems to soulful ballads or love, heartache and loss; James’ songs are all about storytelling. Intensely thought-out lyrics grind through James/ raspy vocal chords with powerful emotion to produce rich, dark imagery that can really punch you in the heart.

James Leclaire is a folk/country/blues/rock singersongwriter from Manotick On.

He has played throughout Ontario and the East Coast, Bluesfest, Cityfolk and was the headliner for the grand reopening of Lansdowne Park in 2014.

Between 2020-2023, James was in studio at Ottawa’s Bova Sound recording 38 new tracks some including mandolinist/guitarist Kevin Breit(Norah Jones), drummer Ed Toth(Doobie Bros), Juno nominee pianist/guitarist John Fraser Findaly, and harmonicist MIckey Raphael(Nelson/Dylan/Young/Stapleton).

James has been releasing those tracks monthly since August 2023. In May the first 10 compiled to become his latest album, Come On In which he had a sold out album release show at Red Bird Live. He continues to release a new single every month.
